@BToTech1 The driver IS from their own website. The one from ATI wouldn’t even install. Although I have to say it was not something I am used to due to the fact that I usually deal with desktops I make myself, which have no issues with vanilla drivers. But after using this for a while i’ve come to the conclusion the biggest anoyance is with the buggy trackpad. It’s practicaly got a mind of it’s own. Yea, yea, i’m using an external mouse now. Doesn’t negate the fault however.

@pbk718 i must say the probem you describe is caused by you updating the video driver. right now the only stable version is the one that comes with it. asus is working on a newer version

@639426 yes it does. our website does say this in the specs btotech.com

@sooietube g73jw end of september. this g73jh came out in feb

@AwesomenessIskey Yes indeed!

@sooietube G73jw is what you are looking for. There is at this time no announcements of any kind for a G74 at the moment. The G73jh hit the market February of this year.

@BToTech1 wats the cost?

It looks like its been dipped in radar proof paint =D

when will the g74 come out??
and when did this come out?

Good laptop?

@BToTech1 I think go for asus , cheaper with equal power. But the alienware has better looks and almost similar specs. I didnt put in a lot of info as you already know the specs.

Do want.

I heard the asus a2 has Bluetooth can
someone please confirm if it does? but still I can’t wait to buy this gaming machine

can you give it to me

@BToTech1 hands down g73, when the dell goes out of date the g73 will still be ok haha.

Forgot to mention - this laptop restricts viewing angle due hardware design. I.e. the screen can be pushed back only a minor amount before it’s blocked. My older Dell could go a full 180. Not that I used it at that angle but it gave be great leeway in usage in different positions.

I got one of these and wish I had bought the Dell. It’s firmware is buggy (mouse pad is erratic etc) and the hinge creaks. Not to mention the deblitating lack of esata and redundant hardware keys. Seriously, who buys this for a netbook experience ala their watered down OS.
And the biggest crux of all (again due to bad drivers) is the ATI video card. Stupid thing keeps crashing.
Either buy the g51 or wait for Dell to bring out the nvidia 360’s.

@skaterobban I plan to order an A2 in about 3 weeks. :) I’m stoked.

I don’t understand why people always complain about battery life with a gaming laptop. It’s not supposed to last an hour. It’s a gaming laptop, it uses more power then any other laptop. You’re supposed to keep it plugged in most of the time. This laptop wasn’t meant for daily travel, only LAN Partys; hence the mouse, back pack, and headset.

Could I play Dawn of War 2 with no framerate issues or slowdowns, except when I am playing against someone else online with a bad connection?

@BToTech1 eeh and? they stopped producing it. so many americans are having problems with their g73 just look on the forums its like 50% have blue screen and alot of other crap. i dont because i bought one of the newer models they released for europe.
