What specific parts do i need for a decent gaming computer?

I’m not an extreme gamer who needs a $5000 computer so I limited my budget to $1000 and i understand the basic concept on how to build a computer. I also understand that certain parts may not work with others. Can anyone list recommended parts needed for a gaming computer, specifically FPS gaming. I know what parts are needed to build a computer itself, but i want a recommendation on specific gaming parts. A list would be much appreciated! Thanks.
